Terms of service

Who we are. Community Prep is operated by Community Prep Inc., a Delaware corporation registered to do business in Oregon, with its mailing address at 2130 N Kilpatrick St #17578, Portland, OR 97217. "We" and "us" mean that company. These terms apply to communityprep.com and to orders placed through it.

Using the site. You may use the site to learn, join our lists, and buy from us. You agree not to misuse it, interfere with it, or use it to break any law. We may update the site and these terms; the date at the bottom tells you when we last did.

Orders. An order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we send the order confirmation. We may decline or cancel an order for a pricing or inventory error, suspected fraud, or a shipping address we cannot serve, and we will refund anything you paid.

Presale orders. A presale order reserves a kit from a production run that has not shipped yet. You are charged at checkout. The ship window shown on the product page when you order is our commitment and appears on your confirmation. If it moves, we tell you before it ends and you may cancel for a full refund. Full details are in our Shipping policy and Refund policy and on the Presale terms page.

Prices and payment. Prices are in US dollars and can change, but the price you see at checkout is the price you pay. Presale codes are for members of our presale list, one use per customer, and cannot be combined with other discounts. Shop Pay Installments is offered by Shop Pay under its own terms.

Shipping, returns, and refunds. Covered by our Shipping policy and Refund policy, which are part of these terms.

Using the products safely. Our kits are for sheltering at home through short disruptions. They are not a substitute for emergency services; in an emergency, call 911. Read every product's instructions. Portable bonfires are for outdoor use only. Kits contain a lithium battery; do not puncture, crush, or expose it to heat, and recycle it where you live. Water treatment tablets are for the uses on their label. We describe battery capacity in hours of steady backup and phone charges, and we will not state a number we have not tested.

Your account and your information. Our Privacy policy explains what we collect and how we use it. We never sell your data. You can unsubscribe from any list with one click, and you can ask us to delete your information at hello@communityprep.com.

Reviews and what you share. If you send us a review, photo, or story, you let us use it in connection with Community Prep, and you confirm it is yours and honest. If you received a free or discounted product from us, say so when you post about it; the FTC requires it and so do we.

Our content. The words, images, kit designs, mascots, and names on this site belong to us or our partners. You may share links and quote us with attribution; please do not copy the site or use our marks to sell anything.

What we are responsible for. We stand behind our kits as described in the Refund policy. Beyond that, to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any order is the amount you paid for it. Nothing here limits rights the law does not let us limit.

Governing law. Oregon law governs these terms. We would much rather talk than litigate: write to hello@communityprep.com first and we will work it out with you.
